This simple and delicious granola recipe is a yummy way to incorporate whole grains and extra fiber into your morning routine. Making your granola at home instead of buying it from the store ensures less preservatives and you can modify the granola to your exact liking! Rather than grabbing a cold, raw smoothie for breakfast, enjoy this granola and support your digestion at the same time.
Ingredients:
1 ¾ C Oats
1/3 C chopped almonds
2 TB hemp seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
2 TB avocado oil
¼ C peanut butter
¼ C Maple Syrup
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Mix the oats, almonds, hemp seeds, cinnamon and salt together
- Melt the avocado oil and peanut butter together in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add maple syrup and vanilla
- Pour wet mixture over the oats and stir until combined
- Pour granola mixture onto pan in a single, even layer
- Bake for about 12 minutes, press the granola down and bake for another 7 minutes
- Allow granola to cool completely before breaking into clusters
