During the time our office was closed , our practice celebrated 20 years in practice! It is hard to believe that time has gone so quickly since I first started practicing acupuncture! At that time, while living in Chicago, I made a “midlife career change”, took a leap of faith, and started a career that melded my business skills (in sales and marketing) with my personal passion (health and wellness). After 3+ years in Acupuncture school and several internships, I started Michigan Associates of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine upon my arrival (back) to Michigan in 2000.
Our practice started in a 2-room clinic with a small waiting area (in the same office complex we are in today). As more people became aware of Acupuncture and as our patients had successes, our practice got busier. Today, after 3 office expansions and many more patients, we have developed into what we are today – a successful and established clinic with a group of experienced professionals, who are committed to providing integrative health services. I could not be more grateful!
The integration of Western Medicine diagnostics and treatment options along with Integrative Medicine treatment modalities is so very important to good health and wellness. I cannot imagine a plan for well-being that does not include both!
During these difficult times, I am so grateful myself to have access to the services we offer. Acupuncture has been so very helpful for me in maintaining good physical and emotional health and balance.
I am so very appreciative of the referrals we receive from our patients (current and former), other professionals (therapists, naturopaths, psychologists, massage therapists), Western Medicine Providers (Medical Doctors, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors) as well as a whole host of other individuals who believe in our practice and the work we do!!
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you!
